Elle's Ballet Recital Video

We're only allowed to video at the dress rehearsal.  Sometimes the lighting hasn't been worked out yet and it's very loud with background noise.  With that being said, heeere's Elle!

Hallelujah! Cannon can buckle himself in now!

I have been buckling in other people now (namely, our children) for 8 and a half years non-stop.  Cannon is finally able to do it himself!  I'm shaving off 5 minutes every time we get in the car now...woo hoo!  However, if I think about it too much, it is a little bit sad...everybody is growing up too fast.  Sniff, sniff.

Cannon Prays Again!

Cannon liked to pray aloud when he was two.  Then somewhere around three, he became more aware and got a little shy and stopped praying aloud.  Then just recently at Bill and Jean's, he decided that he was over being shy and prayed so sweetly that I had tears in my eyes!  Here is his prayer:

Dear God,
Thank you for this food.  Thank you for all the things in Ma's and Pa's house and thank you for our house.  Thank you for the rain last night.  And thank you for everybody.  Amen.

This boy is thankful! 

Summer Happenings 2011 (as of July 26th)

• Elle's dance recital kicked off the summer.  Video to come in the next few days. 
• Chef Science camp for the girls
• Farm themed camp for Cannon
• A little getaway vacation to Dallas.  Went to the Dallas zoo, swam, went to the Lego Discovery Center.
• Swim lessons for all three
• Celebrated Piper and Cannon's birthdays
• Vacation Bible School
• Piper got her ears pierced!!
• Barbie camp for Piper; Junior Detectives camp for Elle
• Oh yeah, we're buying a new house...we close tomorrow!!
