Playdate for 8

In the fall, the girls' elementary school had an online auction as part of a fundraiser. One of the items up for bid was a playdate for 8 with the Kindergarten teachers in February. It was going to be hosted at one of the teacher's houses and the students would enjoy eating lunch, baking cookies and making valentines.

Now, as a former first grade teacher, I know how special something like this is. My students would always choose eating lunch in the classroom with me rather than something from the treasure box or some other privilege.

I can't believe we won the bid for this item. We didn't have much competition. Obviously, many people didn't recognize that this item was really priceless.

Piper invited five of her friends from class and since Elle just had kindergarten last year, she joined them and invited a friend as well.

As you can imagine, this memory will be with the girls forever.
