We're trying to encourage Piper to keep her thumb out of her mouth. She's been a thumb sucker since she was two months. What follows is a quick conversation we had in the car earlier this week.
Me: Can you take your thumb out of your mouth for me?
Piper: (Still sucking her thumb.) Shakes her head "no."
Me: Why not?
Piper: Because this is the thumb's home.

So, my 17year old sister is still a thumb sucker... They tried everything. She's eased up a lot on it though - but when she's sleeping... that thumb goes right on home.

We too need to work on Cade with the thumb sucking. Is it driving you nuts as much as it is me? Cade just tells me he needs it. Not at the play ground you don't! UGH!
