Birthday Celebrations

Piper and Cannon have July birthdays and it seems like we have celebrated the whole month long! We even got an early start when my Dad and V. extended their visit after the reunion towards the end of June. As you can see in the photos below, Barbie is always a big hit, Cannon loved checking out his race track with Grandpa, and a sweet farewell picture with the girls while Cannon napped. By the way, you can click on any photo to enlarge.

Then there was the celebrating at Ma and Pa's house. The kids and I were there during Piper's birthday. Piper was soooo excited to turn five. Ma and Pa had Barbie cupcakes. The sweetest moment was when Piper took about three minutes after the candles were lit to make her wish. That memory will never leave me. Oh, and don't forget that a girl can never have too many Barbies.

Since Carroll was out of town on business on Cannon's birthday, we just grabbed a grocery store cake to celebrate initially. We were so surprised that he was able to blow the candles out! In fact, he blew them out before we could sing Happy Birthday! One of his birthday gifts was a "Bob the Builder" video. The poor boy has been watching nothing but Barbie Princess movies! Ah, the downside to having two older sisters.

Piper's party was held the gym where she takes gymnastics. A handful of her classmates were there. She had a super time.

Cannon's party was at the house later that evening. He wanted to relight his candles several times because he loved blowing them out. One of his favorite gifts was the Cozy Coupe from Ma and Pa.

MamaMia, I have to ask ~ do you make those cakes yourself, or do you get them from somewhere? I've seen a few of them on your blog now, and they are all awesome!

Gracious me, NO! :) Sadly, I don't do well in the kitchen. There is a wonderful cake shop here. They opened right about the time our oldest turned one and we have used them ever since. In fact, they now have three stores...that's how good they are.
