We arrived in Orlando on Christmas Day around noon. By the time we lugged 5 checked bags, 2 boosters, 1 car seat, 3 children and our carry-ons to a taxi, we could have called it a day. However, the excitement of our first day at Disney World kept us going.
We settled in at the hotel, grabbed some lunch, and got ready for our first date with the princesses. Our destination was the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot. OH. MY. GOODNESS! How can you top Princesses stopping one by one at your table for autographs and pictures?!! It was the best way to kick off our visit!

ArielChristmas evening was so nice at Epcot. Very few people were there. We had no problem seeing and riding the main attractions. We wrapped up our evening with pictures and autographs with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy.
Cannon was so funny about the characters...he started off very uneasy around them, not wanting to be anywhere near them for pictures. After studying his sisters a bit and the characters themselves, he was more willing to pose. By the time we got to Goofy, he was all smiles and giving high fives.

There were several moments I cherished on this trip. Two of them on this first night: The look on Piper's face when she was standing next to Snow White...she was in awe of this princess that she looked so much like (see picture below). The other was when Elle said "I knew they were real, Mommy" referring to the princesses and Mickey and gang. Now that's the magic of Disney World.

The picture below is a bit hard to figure out at first, but it's the bus ride back to the hotel. The girls are OUT, flopping with exhaustion. This is what our ride looked like each night. The minute the bus started moving, they were asleep!

LOVE THESE! I'm so happy you all had a wonderful trip. Looking at the pics has made me realize I'm ready for another trip to Disney. I love seeing all the photos and knowing EXACTLY where that was taken...because we have so many pictures in that exact same place! :-)
We, too, did the princess lunch at Epcot. It couldn't have been better...all the princesses at once. Awesome.

Cannon has yet to NOT look like the cutest-thing-ever in a picture, but there's something special about his face when he's in a picture with Carroll. You can just see that he thinks his dad is just about the coolest thing EVER. How totally wonderful and special is that?!
